Write out the names of your characters and explain:
1.) How you thought of their name.
2.) What made you create the character in the first place.
3.) How the character has changed over time (If they have changed).
4.) Any random fun fact about that character.
Akemi

1. He has a thing for fire, so I thought it appropriate that he had a name dealing with the stuff. Akemi is a girl's name and it translates to red dawn, which also deals with his profession in a symbolic way.
2. I needed a child for one of my other characters as a plot bunny, and Akemi was born.
3. He started out really cold and ruthless, but here lately in the past six months to a year, he's taken on a personality of his own and made himself right at home in the front of my mind. He's my most dominant character, the alpha you could say.
4. When he's not drinking himself into a stupor, he's sleeping or working. Akemi doesn't really have any hobbies other than annoying the living bugshit out of everyone else, and that includes his current lover, rivals, enemies, child, or father.
Aaron Xiao

1. Honestly, I needed a warrior's warrior... a man's man. I looked up the word warrior and the names that corresponded with it, and Aaron was the first name on the list, so I picked it. As for the second name, Aaron is of mixed nationality, and I'm into the bishie culture, so I picked a name that meant something dealing with pretty men...and I looked it up long ago and (though I can't find it now), I understood it to mean beautiful or heart. Dunno what it actually means, but now he's stuck with it as a middle name.
2. ...Here we go. I needed a FATHER for Seifer in a FFVIII RP that I was doing with

. He took on a mind of his own and soon appeared in RPs with

. And now he's one of the regulars, even though Akemi took his place as alpha.
3. When he started out, he was an overworked, underappreciated ex general that was irritated at life in general, had a smartass outlook...oh wait... Aaron is still irritated at life in general, but he's no longer overworked (retired and refusing to do anything), and he's certainly not underappreciated. He's still got a smartass outlook, though, unfortunately.
4. Aaron stands at a very imposing 5'4 to 5'5 in some RPs, and in others where his personality is more dominant, he's at least 6' tall. It all depends on where I want to drop him and who he's dropped with. He's one of those characters that change a little bit...
Oyoko

(Shown here at twenty years of age with Akemi, though in the normal RPs I use her in, she's six years old)
1. Oyoko is just a random name I picked out. I don't even know what it means, though I should really look that up, shouldn't I?
2. Another plot bunny. Oyoko is Akemi's second daughter, and just as mean as the first one though her technique isn't as polished. I needed her because I knew that Akemi would be losing the first one soon in the RP I was doing with

, so I felt bad leaving the character with no one. So, Oyoko was conceived in my mind and born unto Akemi's deserting wife in one of those sue-like plot twists that come from my wretched mind.
3. Yoko hated Akemi when they first met. Akemi had to steal her away from her step father, as he was abusive in more ways than one if you get my drift. She was scared of him, didn't want to call him 'daddy', and didn't want anything to do with him until long after her mother was dead and gone. However, as present time has come about, she calls him daddy and even rides on his shoulders. She's exhibited a sweet tooth and the tendency to be a bottomless pit, probably because she was pretty malnourished when she was stolen away from her past home.
4. She's got a mean throwing arm. She can hurl a rock with a good bit of accuracy, and if it hits a character, it hurts like a bitch. She's broken windows, nailed men in between the eyes, and given Akemi a bunch of headaches dealing with the people she's hit. She has a fondness for yoyos, slingshots, and peashooters, and the occasional box of matches which Akemi works hard to keep well away from her.
David

(Only pic of him I have on dA)
1.

thought of the name David.

And it fit the character perfectly.
2. I have an RP with

where a son for Rufus and her character are needed. And so, David was born with much difficulty due to intricate plot bunnies.
3. David hasn't really changed much at all. He started out as Rufus's child that followed Reno around, and he's still Rufus's child that follows and admires Reno. And so, he even dresses as sloppy as he does, and has taken on some piercings and tattoos to go against the grain when it comes to his father's ideas of decency.
4. David has a love for anything that goes fast. He's in love with motorcycles, race cars, and airplanes. He's not good at math or anything doing with deskwork because he has dyslexia. This is a great disappointment to Rufus, who dreamed of his son becoming Vice President of ShinRa and then President one day after he was gone.
This is all I can think of for now, though I have like a million of them. I'm sure I'll be reminded of them later. XD I love gabbing about my characters too much, don't I?
